California Products Plexipave IW Surface Selected for the BNP Paribas Open

ANDOVER, Mass. -- Plexipave, the world’s largest manufacturer of acrylic sports surfacing systems in the world, announced that the BNP Paribas Open will be played on their Plexipave IW tennis surface. The official ATP World Tour Masters 1000 event, the largest attended tournament outside of the Grand Slams, runs from March 9 - March 22 at the state-of-the-art Indian Wells Tennis Garden. The first major tennis event of the season on U.S. soil, the BNP Paribas Open features more than 250 of the best men and women players competing in the second largest tennis stadium in the world, located just outside of Palm Springs, California.

The Australian Open kicked started the 2009 tennis season choosing to play on its new Plexicushion Prestige surface. The season continues with Indian Wells using the Plexipave IW surface for the eleventh consecutive year.
